The FAQ

1. Are hybrids allowed?
No, each character must be either full blooded as a supernatural or a full blooded human. If your character has one parent that is human and one parent that is a supernatural, you decide if they are going to be human or supernatural.

2. Can I make a creature that is not listed?
Yes. Besides the creatures in the beastiary the admins have opened the world of Lairea up to accept Unknown creatures. At the bottom of the Site Census are all the unknown creatures already accepted and the members' encyclopedia has more detailed info about each species. Not all of the unknown species have a section in the memebers' encyclopedia yet so if you are looking for info on one of the species not yet detailed there feel free to look upon the app the unknown creature corresponds to. Each potential unknown creature app must contain the general information about the creature like its history, how it looks, its abilities and its weaknesses.

3. I read all the information, but I'm still a little confused about the time period.
Understandable! It is the turn of the twentieth century, so it is at the very beginning of what is considered modern times. There are certain things used that we use today, like telephones or electricity. To help you wrap your mind around the time period, here are a list of movies set in this time period: Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, Citizen Kane, Lady and the Tramp, Finding Neverland.

4. So, we can make fairy tale characters and characters from legends?
Yes and no. The characters cannot be completely copied from their stories, but feel free to use them as inspiration and use certain things from their stories in your characters' lives. Be warned, though, fairy tale characters will never be claimed, so there might be two Cinderella inspired characters (etc.) roaming around the site.

5. How many characters can we have?
As many as you want! Just make sure that you can handle as many as you have. We will expect you to be active with each of your characters.

6. How flexible are you on face claims?
It's really just a case to case basis. Ask an admin, just to be sure! Fro most of our canons we aren't too picky. We usually are a little more adamant if they are part of an established family on the site.
